Preston Eugene Conway (1942-2008) was in the 11th grade when he joined the Air Force in June of 1961 along with his best buddy, Joe Brown, 1960 graduate of SPHS. Preston served four years in the A.F. and Joe stayed for 21 years. With all of Preston's military/technical schooling, the Adm. decided that he was well-qualified to receive his HS diploma and thus he became a Greenie! Since that time, he lived and worked as a master electrician in Bossier City, LA. His parents J.T. and Loretta Conway have passed. They lived at 3780 Fonville St. in Beaumont where Preston and his brother Jerry were raised. Preston Conway passed away in February this year of lung cancer at the age of 65.
