I checked my 1969-70 band photo and the bass drum features the band's coat or arms, not Sparky. Must have been earlier?

That is not the Sparky we had when I was in school. If you look in any yearbook you will the Sparky that looked like an elf. Thats the one that most of us GREENIES remember. On the bass drum there was a picture of a man with a "robin hood " hat on.
