Do you know where Heritage Room is? When was the last time you visited SP? What is in Heritage Room? Let me tell you a few things. First Heritage Room is located in Library. It is locked and librarian has to open it for you.It contains yearbooks from 1915 to 1986, football jackets, choir blankets, and all kinds of GREENIE memorabilia.There is a Guest Book that you can sign and you can go back and see why we all love about South Park.After visiting Heritage Room you can walk down 2nd Floor and look at trophy cases that are filled with many many trophies that GREENIES have won.Then you can say I AM A GREENIE AND PROUD OF IT.

There is a silver tea service that belongs to SP. We need to get it and preserve it.

If you have anything that pertains to SP and you would like to put it in Heritage Room let me know. Mr.Sharp has been helping Pat Gilbert with the Heritage Room since his health and death has made it necesary to have help.

Today Mr.Sharp and I met with Karen Nichol(l974) and the head librarian from Lamar.We were told Lamar will take our Hertiage Room and keep it so we will have full access to it.Lamar will pack up all the books, trophies,jackets, Sweathers, Blankets and move them to Lamar before the end of School.After getting them to Lamar they will be where we can visit our things in the library. When I find out the exact place I will post the news on web site.If you would like to purchase yearbook before the move .You can go to library and tell the librarian what year you are looking for.The cost of the yearbooks are $ 25.00 each.

Today Mr.Sharp, John LaSalle (58?) and I finished packing up Heritage Room.But if you have any memories of SP like Choir Sweater,Band Uniform, Football Jacket, Twirler Uniform,Greenie Dear out fit, Cheerleading uniform,please donate them to the Heritage Room. It will be closed for a little while the transition takes place to Lamar. Contact me or Mr.Sharp to tell us what you donating.We will be selling yearbooks($ 25.00) at Pep Rally and Saturday night Dance.

Hey Miriam I've got a question. A fellow Greenie asked me that if they do demolish the school are they going to sell or auction off anything from it? I will see you Saturday!

Never thought about anything like that.I did tell Mr. Ingram that we want the sign over the Football stadium that says South Park Staduim.

THREE PERFECT CHRISTIAN CROSSES!! If they could be taken down in tact, they would make a WONDERFUL addition to a local SP-area Christian Church... erected securely in front of a church to designate the three crosses on Golgatha: Innocent Jesus was hung in the middle, and on each side were the two criminals, one of whom wanted to be in God's forever kingdom and Jesus promised him, "Today, you will be with me in paradise." Floodlights could be shown on the crosses at night for a lovely and great testimony to the faith. And oh, BTW, this IS a Christian nation. God bless America!

Heritage Room is now located at 505 W.Florida. In fact on Thursday at 10:00 it will be opened for a couple of hours.If you would like to come and visit please do so. Also let Miriam know that you are coming.

We had 10 GREEENIES that showed up to see Heritage Building today. They were impressed . We still need more donations to keep this building in shape.
