We will have another Petition Drive on April 14, 2007 at Travis Brothers Hardware Store, 625 Washington Blvd. Hours are 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. At 3:00 PM we will have a meeting at St. Paul's Methodist Church on Woodrow. Everyone is invited to meeting and to help at petition drive. Every true South Parker needs to thank Miriam Nichol for the work, sweat, and effort she is putting into preserving the old South Park High School building. I know there are many, many others working also, but Miriam has this fire in her eyes when she talks about South Park and it is inspirational to others. People don't understand unless they are one of us. I was out recently holding a sign at Highland Avenue and Woodrow to get people to sign a petition to keep the old building. This may sound corny, but I could kind of feel an approval coming from the bricks and mortar of that old place. I could see, in my minds eye, a different time with impressionable young people being molded by tradition, by teachers who cared, and by a school. Now, these people, not so young anymore, are coming together to try and keep a tangible piece of their past intact. I hope it works, I really hope it works...

I have been getting calls and emails from GREENIES that will come and help at Petition Drive.

I am hearing from GREENIES in all classes. They are mad and they are all signing petition. You can help by passing the petition form on to GREENIES, family , friends, etc.

We are in need of having more GREENIES to help us with Petition Drive. Shifts are 2 1/2 hours. 9-11:30 and 11:30-2:00. Please HELP us.

Greenies are special people. Save South Park High School is growing everyday but we are not "rolling in the dough". This campaign is being supplied with the help of GREENIES. Who beleive in this crusade. Several of us have been paying for copies, stamps, ink for computers, postage, paper. And it is adding up. Was told yesterday evening we could hold petition drive at Mobil convenience store on the corner of Highland and Pipkin.Right now I need bodies to do that. Need 2 people to work 9-11:30 and 11:30 to 2. PLEASE VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME FOR THIS. JUST CALL ME OR EMAIL ME TO LET ME KNOW. All you need is a card table and a lawn chair. I have petition copies.

Yesterday we received 2000 printed petitions from Mike Bass class of 75. This is a blessing.Thank you Mike. We can make some more businesses in South Park and have a good petition drive. BUT WE NEED GREENIES TO ALSO HELP AT PETITION DRIVES, PASSING OUT PETITIONS TO CLASSMATES , FRIENDS, FAMILY MEMBERS, NEIGHBORS,CONCERNED CITIZENS, CHURCH MEMBERS. Just show up at Petition Drive on April 14 at any of the places and you will be put to work.
