I was asked by Dr. Teuscher is GREENIES had gotten any donations to keep South Park alive. So now I am asking all Greenies to dig deep into your pockets and donate to keep South Park. Will have more news later in the day on who you can get your donation to and where. I know all GREENIEs will give no matter how big or now small.

I was pretty upset when I got Dr. Teutsch's email wanting to know about how much money had we raised for South Park. After talking with several GREENIES I have calmed down. Doesn't the man know taxes are to keep School buildings in tact. Apparently he doesn't.

Miriam, you WERE correct that taxes are to keep buildings intact. And before any money is collected or certainly before it is turned over to the board or anyone in the school district, they need to answer why the building is in "such bad shape." In fact someone needs to ask Dr. Teutsch why there should be donations. Is he a trustee with BISD? I was on a school board for 9 years, and we never asked for donations from the people in the district who already pay taxes for this purpose!!!!!

He is not board member just co-chairman of Bond Committee. Well thanks to several GREENIES I have calmed down and the only donations will be the ones I will be asking Saving South Park High School for is $ 200.00 Sherry and I have spent on copies, ink for computer, stamps. Since we were given 2000 copies and your donation it has helped us alot.

I have received several donations to help with copies of petition(these copies are to put in stores), use of computer(ink), mail petitions to GREENIES or concerned citizens that either live away from here or don't use a computer. They tell me that what we are doing is going to help us keep South Park.If you can please help by giving a donation so that we may continue the work of Saving South Park High School.

You might consider forming a non-profit for this Miriam, would help if you are considering seeking larger donations.

I wasn't understanding his call for donations either, are we supposed to pass a hat for BISD after paying property taxes for the same reason? I can understand your frustration, but what is his reasoning? The school has been a part of educating many thousands of young people for nearly a hundred years and could continue to do so for another hundred years with proper management - is he saying we need new management? wink

The only donations we are asking for is to help pay Sherry and I back for all petitions that we have run off, postage used in sending petitions out,ink for our printers , paper for our printers until we were given 2000 copies of petitions by a 75 GREENIE. The total is a round $ 200.00. The property taxes should take care of donations that Dr. Teutsch was talking about.
