Hi guys! I just wanted everyone to be aware of the new bond issue...please vote no! They are wanting to demolish south park and close several other elementary schools in this area. The Beaumont Enterprise has a list of all the new additions to our community...including a mega stadium for Ozen

If they tear dowm SP then they need to tear down Beaumont High. I WILL NOT vote for the bond issue. Everybody should do the same thing.

South Park should be a historical building on a historical list somewhere...surely it can be saved. It broke my heart when I visited last year and saw that Pietzche was gone.
I understand that schools need to be in good condition and remodeled from time to time, but those buildings should be preserved....too late for Pietzche, but someone please try to save South Park!!!!!

I have contacted the Beaumont Heritage Society and they have given several people who can help get a historical marker for South Park. If you would like to help do this please email me and we will start the process.

mariam, I emailed you but it came back....I don't live in Beaumont, but maybe could help with the historical marker. Let me know what' s needed....my address is matcek@excite.com. Would this save south Park?

On March 3 we will have a meeting so we can make plans to see that South Park has a historical marker. We will meet at St. Paul's Methodist Church on Woodrow.Starting time is 2:00 PM. I will try to get some people to speak on what and how we need to do this. Please pass this on. I have sent emails and have gotten a lot of response.
